Trading View
This free app will allow you to check the markets of all instruments, crypto, US markets, futures, stocks etc. Once you progress you may wish to pay for the premium version of Trading View which will allow you to look at multiple charts and timeframes at the same time. Initially this isn’t necessary though.
Ninja Trader
This platform is my trading platform of choice.Ā This is primarily for trading the US Futures Markets, Commodities, and USD Pair FX Only. You cannot trade stocks through this program.Ā Mac users can use this program with Parallels or alternatively can use Tradovate

Parallels
Ninja Trader is only a PC app, so if you want to trade with Ninja Trader on Mac OS X, you’ll need to install Parallels, a Windows emulator. Once you’ve installed Parallels, it will automatically install Windows 10 or 11 for you too. Both Parallels and Windows require purchasing. Then you can install Ninja Trader on Windows. Note: Parallels does tend to run a little slow sometimes on Mac’s older than M1.
Tradovate
Tradovate is the closest platform to Ninja Trader and is also a great alternative for Mac users. It uses the Trading View platform for charts and can access all the same markets as ninja trader.
IG Markets ( Australia )
This platform is great for those who wish to trade Australian Stocks ( ASX ), FX all pairs, Commodities and Futures. Whilst it does have a vast array of choices user must note it is a CFD platform where instead of charging brokerage they implement a SPREAD.

Divvy
Ninja Trader doesn’t allow you to put your windows in a grid. Typically you have to do this manually, which ends up being inaccurate and annoying. Thankfully Divvy exists. It’s a handy app that will automatically drop your windows in to a grid segment view to keep your desktop tidy.

Time Left
This program is not necessary, however I use it for Customizable Clocks, Count downs and Alerts. There is a basic free version which allows once of everything or a paid version which is unlimited.
Notezilla
An excellent program for notes or stickers you wish to put on your screen
Snag It
Allows you to take pictures of your screen and edit and save them. Not required but a great program
